[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This morning, Confirm welcomed 6th class pupils from Thomond Primary School in Limerick to UL for a Lego Robotics workshop as part of the IEEE World Forum IoT Conference and Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival.
We started off the workshop with a conversation about manufacturing and how Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 will change the way everyday products are made using a car as an example.
Once the eager young engineers had a bit of background information on Smart Manufacturing and Confirms research areas, they got to work building their robots.
When the build was complete each pupil got the chance to programme their robot to navigate it’s way around a track.
Finally, the groups went head to head in a contest to see who could guide their robot through an obstacle course in the shortest time possible!
