Bashar Nuseibeh

Professor of Software Engineering, University of Limerick

Bashar is a software and cybersecurity researcher, interested in the engineering of software intensive systems that are dependable, usable and useful. His research is particularly concerned with the engineering of software that cuts across digital, physical and social spaces. He has worked as an academic and researcher at Imperial College London (Head of Software Engineering Laboratory and Founding Director of its Centre for System Requirements Engineering), The Open University (Director of Research in Computing), and the University of Limerick (Chief Scientist of Lero, and SFI Co-PI on Lero, ENABLE, and Confirm programmes). Bashar holds a Royal Society-Wolfson Merit Award and a European Research Council Advanced Grant on Adaptive Security and Privacy.
