Name of Piece of Equipment

Maxiem 1530 Water-Jet Machining Centre (WJMC)

Function or Purpose

The WJMC has the widest range of any machining technique, accommodating most soft or hard materials (e.g. metals, polymers, glass, organic materials, ceramics, composites, etc.). The lack of heat-affected zones, very low side forces and water-jet taper compensation enable the accurate machining of extremely hard to sensitive materials, without damaging the component or creating residual stresses. Designed for a wide range of machining needs, the MAXIEM 1530 sets a higher standard for precision abrasive waterjet machining. Equipped with a diamond-integrated MAXJET 5i Nozzle, the 1530 can cut virtually any material quickly and efficiently, maximizing profitability.
